Sage has been involved with racing since the early 90's at the club level, and as a tuner he worked for Muzzys in 1998 & 1999. After Muzzys lost the Kawasaki contract, Sage opted to stay in Bend and open his own shop. Wrenching at that level really takes the fun out of racing and Sage likes to ride, not just sit and watch. Since opening his shop in 2000, Sage has:
- 1998 season results w/ Doug Chandler - 2nd 750SB, 3 podiums, 5 top 5 finishes, 2nd in Daytona 200, 1 new track record / 2nd 600SS, 7 wins, 1 podium, 2 top 5 finishes, 1 new track record / 3rd place finish at Laguna Seca World Superbike Round
- 1999 season results w/ Aaron Yates - 8th 750SB, 3 top 5 finishes / 5th 600SS, 1 win, 3 podiums
- Worked with CHM on their supermoto projects yielding a 3rd place in the opening round of US supermoto at Laguna
- Worked with No Limit Honda in 2003 as needed for select races
- Assisted Doug Chandler with his privateer superbike effort in 2006
- Assisted in the growth of Sportbikes and Roadracing in Central Oregon
- Attained Top 5 Finishes as a rider in 600/750 classes (club level)
- A level off-road rider
